Probably a Sitzendorf porcelain bowl or tray with center handle, beautifully scalloped similarly to a leaf or butterfly, hand painted in coral peach center (salmon color), and hand painting on transferware pink and white florals and green leaves, gold trim. Handle has porcelain leaf relief with applied gold. Measurements: 14" x 10" (36 cm x 28 cm) Condition: Excellent, no damage, slight gold loss on handle and trim Marking: Impressed double slash/cross slash and 2437 (in gold lettering) .. there is also an impressed U German pre-1900. Very attractive bowl! |
