Adorable vintage set of 6 small stoneware coffee/tea mugs and saucers, as well as open sugar and cream jug, made by J&G Meakin Studio, England circa 1970's. The mugs, sugar dish and cream jug are beautifully decorated in apple, pear and gooseberries in burnt orange and green (back of each item has a design as well), while the saucers contrast in bright solid burnt orange. All items are in excellent condition showing no wear or damage on any of the items. This set includes:-
6 mugs each measuring 3" (7.75 cm) tall with an opening diameter of 2.5" (6.5 cm) 6 saucers each measuring 5.25" (13.25 cm) diameter Open Sugar measuring 3.75" (9.5 cm) tall, diameter opening 1.75" (4.25 cm) Cream Jug measuring 1.75" (4.25 cm), 1.5" (4.5 cm) from spout to handle. Very pretty set that is sure to please you. This set does not come with the coffee/tea pot; however, there was one made for this set should you wish to try and locate. |
