Japan Moriage gold beading and banned with enamel handpainting. Bowl is scalloped, slightly fluted and decorated both on the interior and exterior. Matching is also the large covered pot (could be used as a serving covered bowl - size of a bean pot) with double handles. Both pieces are exquisitely hand painted and marked "hand painted" in italics circa 1900-1920. Vivid green leaves and rust/orange florals.
Measurements: 3 inches tall, 10 inches diameter (bowl), 4 inches tall w/o lid, 5 inches diameter, 8.5 inches across each handle (covered pot) Condition: Excellent - but enough wear to show these pieces are antique but no wear to particularly mention, porcelain is pitted in parts (small pinholes in porcelain) and have a few fleabites (photos attached) - on the pot inside rim are 2 mini hairlines not going anywhere These are both beautifully executed pieces in rich enamel. |
