Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas is attributed to Lucius Richard O'Brien (1832-1899), Canada. Lucius O'Brien is a listed artist, known for Landscapes and was considered the best Canadian oil landscape painter during the 19th century. Landscape depicts the St. Lawrence River and steamships in the distance. Wonderful!
Painting Measurement: 17.5" x 12" Frame Measurement: 25.5" x 19" Condition: painting is very good, frame has a few nics but considered in very good condition for age (photos of the corners of the frame are attached).... painted in gold and black with handcuts into the corners of the frame, almost appears to be made of leather from a distance, but is painted. Frame appears to be either original or very early. Braced with metal on the backside of frame. Beautiful antique painting circa 1860's.
